Entrepreneurship Sparks New Businesses: Check Them Out Here!

90% of business startups fail. Within the first 6 years, 53.6% fail. The data does not lie. It’s startling for any hopeful and optimistic entrepreneurs. That being said, ambitious entrepreneurs should not retreat from risk. At Mountain Lakes High School, the entrepreneurship program guides students through launching their own businesses. Students are encouraged to handle management and marketing on their own. We decided to feature some of the businesses created in this year’s entrepreneurship program!

Sip & Drip

Business Owners: Emma Barkauskas and Emily Samay

Sip & Drip is a reusable cup company that showcases customers’ pride through customizable Mountain Lakes stickers on them! Sip & Drip works to provide our target customers with a product that ensures happiness and inclusivity in the Mountain Lakes Community!

Positively Perfect

Business Owners: Lorelei Woodlee and Jessica Fazendeiro

Positively Perfect is a small jewelry business that allows students and teenagers to buy cute and trendy jewelry for their friends in order to support mental health, self-love, and kindness. This is an amazing way to spread positivity and kindness while still being affordable!

Class Clowns

Business Owners: Lindsey Mirda and Camila Zambrano

ClassClowns is a child’s party entertainment service that supplies clowns, games, prizes, clean up, and a great time! We are based in Mountain Lakes and take pride in our relationships with children and their interests. Our services are one of a kind and very affordable!

Joey Totes

Business Owners: Katherine Li and Sara Tarkanpour

Description: Joey Totes creates versatile and customizable tote bags for almost every occasion! This is an amazing way to carry all of your stuff in a cute and creative fashion!

Cure Clothes

Business Owners: Carly Yarbrough, Lindsay Bush, and Sandra Dane

Cure Clothes is an apparel company that sells trendy and colorful clothing for a good cause! 10% of each order is donated to a cancer charity that provides financial support to families and patients dealing with the burden of cancer treatment.

Clean Golf

Business Owners: Max Rankin and Griffin Como

Description: Clean Golf is a refurbished golf ball company. Our goals are to provide cheap golf balls to newer golfers and clean up the environment while doing it.

Laker Layers

Book Barn Bargains

Business Owner: Michael Catallo

Description: Book Barn Bargains is an Amazon store that sells various fiction/non-fiction books for kids, teens, and adults. These books come from the Denville Book Barn and generate extra income for this store.
