Disclaimer: All of the animals featured here are 200% amazing! Yes, I know percentages are only out of 100, but this is about my love of animals, not math. Please do not come for me.

Welcome to the BEST Mountaineer article you have ever read. I know we have so many talented writers and so many amazing articles, but this one involves dogs, cats, and a guinea pig, so clearly, I’m giving these writers have some competition. April 11th is National Pet Day, and I don’t have any pets, which makes this a little awkward…BUT I do have friends who own lots of pets, and I ask them for pictures all the time (even when I am not writing Mountaineer articles about them). Drawing inspiration from my favorite twitter account, @WeRateDogs (they make up situations and give the dogs ratings), we’re featuring some of our furry Lakers. And since we’re an inclusive bunch, we’ve included cats as well as dogs.

Hazel: would like to know who you are sending this picture to, and will pose based on her opinion of them. Full of sass, but also full of love.

Smokey: Wants to know why you woke him up,
because he was in the middle of a good nap.

Bear and Lola: know that you have their treats behind your back and do not know who you are trying to fool. (God, they are too good.)

Adobo: Is feeling very happy today and is having a great day! He hopes that you are having a great day as well.

Lucky: you told him to stick his tongue out, and he follows his orders. Excellent, pawsitively excellent.

Charm: loves going for long drives and has already called shotgun!

Forrest: has been practicing his ‘puppy dog face’ to see if he can get more treats. It’s working.

Bruce: Does not know where your shoes went… He swears…He definitely did not get rid of them…Stop questioning him, please.

Po: Is a natural-born model and just naturally looks like this. 12/10 for his modeling and for him.

Bella: Knows that she is the true gift this Christmas, and you don’t need anything else. She is right.

Tora and Cammie: They are currently not speaking to each other, but they love each other anyway. We love them as well.

Chili & Kaya: Chili was all prepared for the photo shoot until *somebody* had to squeak their hamburger chew toy. Kaya does not know who would do such a thing…

Pepper: Wants to know if she can go for a swim because she has been practicing her doggy paddle.

Plane Doggo: is feeling a little sleepy from his big plane adventure but saw Jake Barnett taking a picture and wanted to smile.

Falco: loves the snow and is wondering when there can be more because he would like to make a snow-puppy.

Luna: her eyes are looking into your soul, and they are telling you that she’s hungry.

Max: is very excited that you said the words ‘good boy’ and hopes that you are talking about him.

Tyler: would like to let you know that his mustache makes him look like Charlie Cat-plin.

Peanut Butter: loves being petted and also loves being called Bear because she is a menacing presence and should be feared.

Tilo: would like to know if he can play you a song because he has been practicing a lot.

Now, I do have to say sorry because we have reached the end of the article, which means there are no more animals.
