Read Time:1 Minute, 54 Second

Synopsis:

The play starts at a remote mansion where six guests assemble for a dinner party with blackmail and murder on the menu. When their host is found dead, they all become suspects. Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, and Colonel Mustard, led by Wadsworth the butler, race to find the killer as the body count increases. MLHS Clue is a comedy whodunit based on the 1985 Paramount movie which was inspired by the classic Clue board game that has viewers laughing as they try to figure out…who did it, where did it happen, and with what?

Setting:

The play was set in the interior of the Boddy Mansion which included the grand hallway with doors that led to the Library, the Study, the Lounge, the Billiard Room, the Conservatory, the Ballroom, the Kitchen, and the Dining Room. Each set was very well made and I could tell that the crew worked really hard to create them. Each room had a lot of detail and was very impressive. The transitions from room to room were great too. Overall, the crew did an amazing job.

Actors/Actresses:

Every single person in the cast did an amazing job and the acting was great. The main cast in particular did such a wonderful job of portraying their characters.  The actors/actresses of the main leads include Nicholas Tripodi (Wadsworth), Elizabeth Jansen (Yvette), Rowan Zollner (Miss Scarlet), Mia Bezalel (Mrs. Peacock), Bridget Hill (Mrs. White), Nick Bordoni (Colonel Mustard) and Robby Caruthers (Mr. Green).

Sound Effects/Lighting:

The lighting and sound effects were one of my favorite things about this play. It was so creative how they had each character’s “color” shining on them during certain parts of the play and the sound effects really added to the suspense and comedy of the production.

Conclusion:

Overall, this production of the Clue play was fantastic. It’s fast-paced and hilariously suspenseful. I thought it was very fun to watch all these characters with such different personalities working together. You can tell the cast and crew worked really hard and this has become one of my favorite productions ever performed at MLHS. I know many people who also watched the play have said the same.
