Spring showers bring a whole new set of Starbucks drinks! This month, I sat down and tried all of Starbucks’ new spring menu iced drinks. There were some ‘swing and a miss’ drinks, but overall I was pleasantly surprised by this spring menu. With that being said, let’s get on with the ranking of all 7 iced spring drinks.

7) Spicy Dragonfruit 0/10

As someone who has a very minimal spice tolerance, this drink is horrible. The spiciness of the chili flakes adds no actual dimension to the drink besides PAIN, and the strawberries and spice are not a good mix.

6) Spicy Strawberry 2/10

Because the Dragonfruit was so bad (it destroyed my tastebuds), I had to ask my brother to drink Spicy Strawberry. According to him, Spicy Strawberry tasted like: “A mix of jalepeños and laundry detergent” and he would “not recommend anyone have it unless they are a ‘spice master.’”

5) Spicy Pineapple 2/10

Out of all the spicy drinks, this one is the most tolerable. The strong pineapple flavor can almost mask the disgusting chili flakes and pineapple combo. Although it’s not as bad as the Strawberry and the Dragonfruit, this drink is still disgusting and I would not recommend it.

4) Lavender Frappuccino 5/10

This drink is for all my sweet-toothed, lavender-loving peeps. The Lavender Frappuccino is extremely sweet, almost to the point of being ice cream, with a very prominent lavender flavor. I will admit that I am not a huge fan of frappuccinos in general, especially the non-coffee ones, so frappuccino enjoyers would probably like this drink more than I do.

3) Lavender Latte 7/10

Though the drink features a blend of oat milk and blonde espresso, don’t expect to taste anything other than the lavender (not in an overpowering way though). It’s pretty refreshing, tasting very much like a lavender tea. Although this would not be my first choice of coffee, it is still a pretty solid drink.

2) Lavender Oatmilk Chill 9/10

This drink would be number one if the Matcha wasn’t so extraordinary. With an almost milky-like consistency, this drink has a perfect balance of lavender without being overpowering. Despite it being on the sweeter side, the Lavender Oatmilk Chill is one of my favorite drinks on this menu and should be a year-round drink.

1) Lavender Matcha  15/10

Words cannot even describe how much I love this drink. Although I am not a matcha lover, this drink almost converts me into one. The lavender cold foam is delicious and perfectly balances out the matcha flavor. Unlike the Lavender Chill, which is a sweet in-your-face lavender (which is still very delectable), this Lavender matcha is a bit more subtle.
