Yet again, it’s that time of the year – the time when all you can smell is the savory aroma of food and all you can think about is eating it all up. With all the different varieties there are (turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, mac n cheese, green beans, cranberry sauce, cornbread, and, of course, pie), everyone has their own favorites. We interviewed our friends and family and, after thorough analysis, came up with the top five Thanksgiving food items. Here is the breakdown:

Combined, there were 45 people from both of our Thanksgiving dinners who we interviewed.

5. Cornbread:

Cornbread is a magnificent combination of sweet and savory. From the soft bread to the honey-butter glaze it is served with, we were very surprised that this statement dish was so far down on the list, with only three of our forty-five guests voting for this item.

4. Mashed Potatoes:

A stunning combination of butter, potatoes, milk, and more butter. This noteworthy item received praise from five guests, three from Anna’s house and two from Keerthana’s.

3. Stuffing:

There is a lot to love about this savory dish. Good stuffing can make or break a Thanksgiving dinner, but if made correctly, it will undoubtedly make your holiday meal all the better. We were again very surprised this dish did not receive more admiration with two people from Keerthana’s house and four from Anna’s voting for this item as their all-time favorite.

2. Pecan Pie:

An astounding dish filled with warmth, sunshine, and, of course, candied pecans. Not shockingly, this item received high acclaim from six people, five from Anna’s house and one from Keerthana’s.

1. Mac’n’Cheese:

And, of course, here we have the supreme winner – mac n cheese. This delightful delicacy is filled with notes of sharp cheese, butter, and soft elbow pasta – a precious favorite among numerous children. However, we were surprised to see that this dish was also held in the highest ranking among many adults – twelve from Anna’s house and eight from Keerthana’s.

Ultimately, Thanksgiving has a special place in our hearts, as it leads the world into the much-awaited holiday season. Filled with family, scrumptious food, and unforgettable memories, we just cannot wait for it to come around again next year. Until then, happy holidays!
