Best Dressed:

Zendaya in Giorgio Armani Privé

If you don’t want Zendaya to show up to the Oscars and upstage 95 percent of the Red Carpet – don’t invite her. Constantly giving amazing looks throughout the year, Zendaya shined in a one-shoulder red gown accompanied with beautiful embroidery and motifs.

America Ferrera in Versace

One of the night’s biggest “wow moments” undeniably belonged to Best Supporting Actress nominee America Ferrara. Leaning into bright Barbie pink, she looked stunning in her pink chainmail dress.

Anya Taylor-Joy in Custom Dior

Always going intricately outside of the box, Anya Taylor-Joy served nothing but pure fashion on the Oscars Red Carpet. Wearing beautiful custom Dior inspired by the famed “Venus” gown, she looked absolutely effervescent.

Colman Domingo in Louis Vuitton

Finally! We get men looking amazing on the Red Carpet. Despite the suit being pretty rudimentary as menswear goes and not nearly as “out there” as of the female guests, the flare pants help. We must commend Domingo on this.

Worst Dressed:

Emily Blunt in Schiaparelli

Although her awards season fashion has felt a bit off, nothing could prepare viewers for the oddity of this wacky Schiaparelli gown. From the weird “Y” front pattern to the poorly executed strap situation, this outfit was a swing and a total miss.

Ariana Grande in Giambattista Valli

Ariana was in full Glinda-Glam for the Oscars Red Carpet, taking much inspiration from her role in the upcoming Wicked movie. Although I do love a good character-inspired outfit, Ariana’s outfit fully dwarfs her, especially with her tiny stature, and the bubbly pink washes her out.

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior

This look is bittersweet. On one hand, it’s a fun and youthful polka dot look, but on the other, it feels extremely underwhelming for the Oscars. Jennifer Lawrence has given much better looks in the past that this looks like it’s something her grandma would wear.

Florence Pugh

Yes, she looks amazing here, but the dress – not so much. The bodice is over-designed and a little goofy-looking and the color doesn’t suit her all that well. However, the hair and makeup are gorgeous and the jewelry is well-chosen, so this is an “ok” dress.
